The community of Stone Quarry is situated on Stone Quarry Waterway which empties into Arnica Bay. This is the site of an early sandstone quarry which yielded building stones for construction in Baldwin County. These lots are serviced by an authentic cobblestone road, illuminated by cast iron and copper street lamps. Every effort was made during construction to save as many of the extremely old loblolly pines, oaks, hollies and other trees as possible. The result is a very unique waterfront setting. It has an authentic, shady, old-world look very much unlike the typical “subdivision” look.
These lots are all rather large at about a half acre each. The waterways adjoining the lots are deep and of high fresh-water content which reduces the fouling tendency of other more salty locations. These features, combined with the excellent weather protection offered by the area, make the lots ideal for boating ethusiasts. The community of Stone Quarry is only 3 miles due north of the Gulf of Mexico [location map]. From each lot there is a short distance to the open bay and about a 10 minute ride by powerboat to Perdido Pass into the Gulf. Furthermore, this location is only about 35 minutes from the malls of Pensacola and about 15 minutes from the Riviera Center in Foley. Golf courses and other attractions are a short drive away.
Deep-water boatslips in our community marina are available for non-waterfront lots. Complete power and water utilities are offered.
